The measure, introduced in the State Assembly by freshman lawmaker Assemblyman Raj Mukherji, mandates a FULL state ban on all ivory and rhino horn sales! Thank you Mark Deeble for sharing with us an incredible photograph of the late great bull elephant Satao, the largest tusker in Kenya, who was killed on May 30, 2014, for his ivory. We carried his memory in Trenton.

Elephants DC president Jen Samuel (second from right) joined Kathleen Schatzmann (right), state director for the Humane Society of the United States, to celebrate with Senator Raymond Lesniak on the passage of a key and historic measure, introduced by Senator Lesniak, to ban all ivory and rhino horn sales. Special thanks to the Senator for his fearless and inspiring leadership! Also pictured (left) are three interns with the Humane Society.
Dedicated to elephant well-being & ending the ivory trade world-wide!
